About the Author

Sasha Polakow-Suransky is an Open Society Foundations fellow. He was an op-ed editor at the New York Times and a senior editor at Foreign Affairs and holds a doctorate in modern history from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. His writing has appeared in the GuardianForeign PolicyNewsweek, the New Republic and the​ Boston Globe.

About the Moderator

Dr Kalpouzos is Lecturer in Law and co-convener of the International Law and Global Affairs Group at City Law School. In addition to being a Member of the Athens Bar (Greece), he is also a co-founder of the Global Legal Action Network (GLAN), a non-profit organisation that unites legal practitioners, investigative journalists and academics to pursue innovative transnational legal actions. He is the book review editor of the Journal of Conflict and Security Law.
